Chevron by Tracy Frost Stoughton
There are multiple Chevron patterns out there. Working one that is single or half double crochet in the back loops only gives a nice thick blanket. What is really interesting about back loop crochet (chevron OR single crochet) is that it has a reversible look to it. Here is an example from Tracy Frost Stoughton that uses the reversible idea – solid blues for high temperatures on one side and variegated for lows on the other side.
