Many people have done a rainbow ripple star blanket – or some version of it. Here is a way to use it for a temperature blanket. that was suggested by Michelle Cotton. She says that it wasn’t originally her idea, that someone else had done this same thing for a 2016 temperature blanket, and I do think I remember that.

How to change it up for a temperature blanket:
- Choose a color or colors and complete according to pattern up through round 7.
- Do each point separately for each month – one row per day.
- Join rows as you go with a slip stitch.
- Once the months are all done you go around the whole thing in your temp range (one row per colour) to finish it off, or there are other ways that you can finish it off.
